Haq ki Pahchan, Sanjha Sangharsh aur Sangathit Hone ke Tariqe – Training with Bihar Domestic Workers’ Union

Part III, in collaboration with the Bihar Domestic Workers’ Union, organised a day-long session in Patna with 42 domestic workers to discuss workplace and daily life challenges, and raise awareness about their rights under the SC/ST (PoA) Act, POSH Act, POCSO Act, and labour laws. The training also included guidance from the Local Complaints Committee on addressing sexual harassment and strategies for collective organising.

One-day training with youth on constitutional rights and social justice

Part III organized a one-day training in Patna for 40-45 Patna University students on the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. The session focused on the criminal procedure, filing FIRs, and the importance of documentation. Participants shared personal experiences of caste atrocities and discussed legal challenges faced during the process of seeking justice.

Cross-learning and awareness building session on legal processes affecting rights of Adivasi communities

A legal and documentation training was held in Oriamal, Madhya Pradesh, with 25-30 women, focusing on Adivasi Constitutional rights, the Forest Rights Act, and challenges in implementing forest claims. Discussions included eco-sensitive zones around Nauradehi sanctuary and concerns over potential evictions due to the merging of local sanctuaries into a tiger reserve.
