Cross-learning workshop on implementation of special laws enacted to safeguard interests of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes

Part III held a cross-learning session with DDJC on research regarding the implementation of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. The teams discussed challenges faced when filing RTI applications, provided legal training on PoA provisions, and offered legal advice to survivors of caste atrocities in Banda, Allahabad, and Orai.

Cross-learning workshop on  the navigating the criminal justice system

DDJC and Part III conducted a cross-learning workshop to address challenges faced by survivors of caste-based violence in Uttar Pradesh. The session focused on legal strategies, gaps in police investigations, and improving access to compensation and legal aid under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
